    Manny Cepeda Orchestra brings to San Diego their best repertoire of "Classic Salsa, Merengue, Cumbia, Bachata, and Cuban Music!" Original Discography Salsa music is a genre of music, generally defined as a modern style of playing Cuban son, Son Montuno, and Guaracha with touches from other genres of music.

    Featuring his salsa band at such venues as "Anthology, San Diego", Cafe Sevilla, Palm Spring's Vintage Club and The Tamarisk Club, audiences are treated to the music of today and the golden era of Latin Music.

    The band is comprised of the most talented San Diego musicians and a mix of international players from Japan, Panama, Puerto Rico and San Antonio, Texas. Together they form a high energy group with amazing brass sounds and spicy percussive motives. If you have not experience dancing with this group, you must catch them at one of their many performances in the San Diego and Los Angeles area.





    About Manny

    Performer percussionist, composer, singer and arranger Manny Cepeda has been making music all of his life. His cousin Modesto Cepeda got Manny's first drum at the age of 5 and by the age of 7 Manny was already performing professionally.

    Manny studied at the Puerto Rico's "Escuela Libre de Musica", the Pablo Casals Conservatory, attended under a scholarship "Interlochen Music School" in Michigan, and graduated from Illinois State University, Ellington University in New Orleans and La Verne University in Naples, Italy.

    Manny currently has his own Salsa band in San Diego, CA and he composes his own music and also arranges Latin Jazz music for prominent musicians in San Diego, New York and Puerto Rico.

  • Biography

    Manny Cepeda. Born in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
    Manny has been performing since the age of 7, first as the "Timbales Player" in the highly acclaimed variety TV "Show de Vigoreaux" in San Juan, Puerto Rico's Channel 4, and then with other famous bands such as "Babo Jimenez, Ricardo Ray, Willie Colon and others.

    Former Master Chief Musician (SW), US Navy Band, NATO Band and Atlantic Fleet Band.
    Manny has performed at festivals and for dignitaries throughout South America, Africa, and Europe. His passion and love for music was developed as a young boy and is rooted in a rich family history of musical professionals from the famous “Rafael Cepeda family."
